Road Bike Hill Sprint Intervals

Rain over the past couple days shifted this morning's trail run to a hill climb interval set on the road bike. 

Went out to the UBC loop and did 6 sets of the 1.5km climb off Marine Drive. In between each set there was an 8 minute rest. Here is how the program shook out (length of time to make ascent):

4: Not completed (flat)

So much for my off day. With the sun shining and thousands running the Vancouver Sun Run 10km I was compelled to get out and enjoy the outdoors - especially since my Facebook feed is full of pics of snow in Calgary (TwitPic). Have to enjoy the weather while we have it!

Dusting Off The Road Bike

The nice thing about being in Vancouver is that you can spend less time indoors on a stationary bike and more time outdoors enjoying some fresh air. Today's program called for a 30-45 minute spin - took the road bike out of storage and got my first ride of the year in.
