2011 Essent ISU World Allround Championships - Practice Session

With the 2011 Essent ISU World Allround Championships around the corner, many of the world's best speed skaters took to the ice at Calgary's Olympic Oval. Was great to see some of the biggest names in the sport in action. Here is a little video and some pictures from yesterday's practice session.

The World Is Coming To Calgary

As the 2010-2011 competitive season nears a close there is still the matter of the Essent ISU World Allround Speed Skating Championships to settle.

This year, the Championships will be held at Calgary's Olympic Oval!

The event is February 12-13, event starts on both days at 12:10PM with the Opening Ceremonies. All the world's best skaters will be in Calgary and with tickets starting at $2 ...

ISU 2010 Rule Changes for Speed Skating

Long track speed skating is governed by the International Skating Union (ISU). Like any sport, the ISU periodically reviews the rules and policies of a given sport and implements change.
